Dolphins
The common bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus), also known as the Atlantic bottlenose dolphin, inhabits tropical, sub-tropical and temperate seas worldwide. Coastal or inshore varieties have adapted to warmer, shallower waters and tend to be smaller than offshore dolphins, but have larger flippers.
The coastal variety of bottlenose dolphins feature in this collection. The images were captured from a dolphin research vessel operating out of Marco Island off the west coast of Florida.
